Poems

I have a book called On the Cards. I put three of them below.

For An Adventurous Birthday Boy

Here's a happy birthday card,
Enjoy your day and party hard.
Go dancing at your favourite spot,
Do doughnuts in the parking lot.

Flick peanuts at the boys in blue,
Release the tigers from the zoo,
Be rude and raucous as can be!
It isn't every day your three.

For ... Um

I haven't written much of late.
My love for you is just as great,
I think of you around the clock,
But sadly, I have writer's block.

The words won't come, or if they do,
They're rather odd, my kangaroo.
They don't make sense, they seem bizarre,
My dehydrated budgerigar.

I cannot write, my mind is stuck,
But do not fear, my ice-cream truck!
My awkwardness will soon depart
And I shall write with all my ... um, asparagus?

These next ones are together.

For a daughter, from a mother

Daughter, do you think it's fair
To toss your undies everywhere?

For a mother, from a daughter

Mother, I'm afraid I do,
For your the one who taught me to.

Please leave a commet on what you think.

Thanx
